Hi, I’m Henry!
I’ll be graduating from Wesleyan University in May with a degree in Theater, specializing in lighting design. I have designed numerous shows at Wesleyan (Falsettos, Small Mouths Sounds), and been hired by faculty members to assist on their productions outside of school (Acis and Galatea, Call Forth a Woman). This past summer, I worked at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, where I was a stage hand and spotlight operator for artists like Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, and KC and the Sunshine Band.
As a theatermaker at Wesleyan, I’ve enjoyed taking on a wide range of roles: directing musicals, designing sets, managing my school’s largest student theater company. In my extracurricular endeavors, I lead projects with an intentional focus on community building and collaborations between different art forms. I also have a minor in Integrative Design, Engineering, Arts and Society. In my academic path, I’ve take a particular interest towards the environment and sustainable design practices.
